Salary

The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary ranging from $49.50 to $52.55 per hour, plus generous Salary Packaging benefits of up to $18,550.

Job Description

As a Mental Health Clinician, you will be responsible for assessing client needs, delivering evidence-based interventions, providing care coordination, and engaging with families in treatment planning. You will work within the EACH and headspace Clinical Governance framework, adhering to relevant policies and procedures.

  • Establish young person's needs at referral and determine client suitability for headspace services
  • Undertake comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments using the HEADSS assessment tool, Mental State Examination, and risk assessments
  • Deliver short-to-medium term length evidence-based interventions to young people presenting with mental health psychosocial issues
  • Provide care coordination support, including referrals to other agencies, liaison with care team members, and attending student support group meetings or care team meetings
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A minimum Tertiary Qualification in a relevant field, plus a postgraduate qualification in a related field (highly desirable)
  • AHPRA registration, ACA, PACFA, AASW, or eligible membership with an association in your field
  • Completion of a Criminal History Check and Employee Working With Children Check prior to commencement of employment
