Senior Construction Manager

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Construction Manager to lead our major projects. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in project execution, design coordination, and quality control. They will be responsible for overseeing cost management, health and safety initiatives, and ensuring compliance with industry standards.

To succeed in this role, you will need to possess excellent technical skills, leadership abilities, and strong communication skills. You will be working closely with our project teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders to deliver exceptional outcomes.

About the Role:

  • Project Management: Assist with project coordination and subcontractor management, ensuring on-time completion and quality adherence.
  • Design Coordination: Resolve design issues and provide technical input throughout both the design and construction phases.
  • Cost Management: Oversee cost management, quality assurance, and environmental controls on-site, ensuring compliance and reporting progress regularly.
  • Health and Safety: Champion health and safety initiatives, ensuring all work is carried out in compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.

Requirements:

  • Relevant Qualifications: A degree in construction or a related field and relevant tertiary qualifications.
  • Experience: Proven experience in large-scale construction projects, preferably in a senior management role.
  • Technical Skills: Strong technical skills with the ability to lead and solve complex problems.
  • Safety Advocacy: Experience managing subcontractor performance and coordinating design processes, with a strong commitment to advocating and promoting health and safety standards.
