Senior Material Handler Position

We are seeking an experienced and skilled professional to coordinate shipping, receiving, storage, and order fulfillment services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Pick, pack, sort, arrange, count, store, and process items for storage and/or shipment in accordance with established procedures.
  • Receive materials and finished goods daily, verifying quality, type, and amount of materials received.
  • Work in a warehouse environment under various temperatures, including room temperature, cold-room, and/or freezer-room.
  • Operate distribution equipment safely, as required.
  • Complete training requirements to company satisfaction and operate within all ISO standards pertaining to site Distribution.
  • Provide training and coaching to peers.
  • Maintain the overall accuracy of inventory in production.
  • Perform regular stock rotation and stock checking to maintain accurate stock levels.
  • Process production process orders, including goods receipting and issuing.
  • Transfer production stock, pick, put away, and system transfer.
  • Lead control measures to ensure mistakes, inaccuracies, and discrepancies are highlighted, addressed, and resolved.
  • Maintain general housekeeping standards.
  • Monitor consumable levels and reorder, if required, placing Purchase Orders.
  • Respond to customer service and other external department inquiries regarding order requirements and/or fulfillment issues.

Requirements:

  • SAP or similar ERP experience desirable.
  • Minimum of 3-6 years related experience in a warehousing environment.
  • Demonstrates Thermo Fisher Scientific's values: Integrity, Intensity, Involvement, and Innovation.

Working Environment:

Works in a warehouse environment under various temperatures.

Required PPE includes safety glasses, gowning, gloves, lab coat, ear plugs, etc.
