About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Product Owner to lead the development of our New Distribution Capability (NDC) product. As a key member of our Distribution team, you will be responsible for driving the strategy and execution of our NDC product roadmap, ensuring it meets the objectives set in our Distribution strategy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Product Roadmap Development: Convert the NDC product roadmap into an actionable backlog for delivery, prioritizing quarterly to meet the objectives set in the Distribution strategy.
  • Agile Project Leadership: Lead agile projects and cross-functional teams, ensuring the delivery of new product features and capabilities to align with Virgin Australia's NDC value proposition.
  • Stakeholder Management: Interact with stakeholders at all levels of the organization, as well as external stakeholders, to ensure alignment and effective communication.
  • Technical Expertise: Utilize Postman, automated API testing, and NDC schema definition files to ensure the development of high-quality products.
  • Business Analysis: Analyze operational costs and benefits of the NDC solution, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to maximize product value.
Requirements
  • Expertise in Airline Product Development: Proven track record in delivering complex projects, with a deep understanding of airline product development and distribution concepts.
  • Agile Project Management: Experience leading agile projects and cross-functional teams, with a strong understanding of agile methodologies.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Postman, automated API testing, and NDC schema definition files, as well as experience with browser stack and troubleshooting scenarios using NDC APIs.
  • Industry Knowledge: Good understanding of legacy systems, industry vision with offers and orders, and general aviation distribution concepts.
