
Speech Pathologist for Indigenous Community

Delivering high-quality, community-based care to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander clients across Broome and surrounding communities requires a Speech Pathologist with the right skills and experience.
This is more than just a clinical role — it's an opportunity to support empowerment, improve access to vital health services, and contribute meaningfully to the health and wellbeing of individuals and families.
- Provide culturally responsive, evidence-based services to children and adults funded under NDIS, Aged Care, or MBS programs.
- Support clients, families & carers with education and promote speech services within BRAMS and the broader community.
- Work alongside a multi-disciplinary team to contribute to service quality and improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Speech and language assessments & interventions.
- Working independently in remote or regional settings.
- Promoting speech services within BRAMS and the broader community.
Requirements:
- Tertiary qualification in Speech Pathology.
- SPA registration and membership.
- 3+ years experience working with Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Services.
- Strong interpersonal and cultural sensitivity.
