Audio Engineer - Broadcasting and Communications Expert

We are seeking a highly skilled Audio Engineer with expertise in broadcasting and communications systems to join our team.

About the Role

This is a mid-senior level position responsible for ensuring all audio communication facilities in and around the OB compound are functioning and patched to be operationally ready by the scheduled hand-over time.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in audio consoles, communications systems, and network technologies, with at least 3 years of experience in television broadcasting.

The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills, ability to work effectively in a team environment, and strong technical knowledge of audio consoles, communications systems, and network technologies.

Key responsibilities include liaising with the project's Audio Director and Technical Manager to ensure you are fully briefed on the size, scope, production schedule of the in-field audio and communications facilities required.

Additionally, you will be responsible for ensuring the environment of the audio and communications facilities is neat and tidy and professionally presented and does not pose any danger to the public or co-workers.

Requirements
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Strong technical knowledge of audio consoles, communications systems, and network technologies
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Valid Australian driver's license and willingness to travel for work
