Fire Alarm System Specialist

We are seeking skilled professionals to join our team in Darwin and Katherine/Tindal.

This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to a key project in the Northern Territory.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for installation and commissioning of fire detection and alarm systems, reading and interpreting fire protection plans, ensuring compliance with safety standards and local regulations, working effectively within a team or independently on various project tasks, troubleshooting and resolving technical issues on-site, and completing relevant documentation and obtaining customer sign offs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Installation and commissioning of fire detection and alarm systems
  • Reading and interpreting fire protection plans
  • Ensuring compliance with safety standards and local regulations
  • Working effectively within a team or independently on various project tasks
  • Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues on-site
  • Completing relevant documentation and obtaining customer sign offs
Requirements
  • Prior experience in fire alarm systems installation is essential.
  • Strong understanding of fire detection equipment and relevant safety codes.
  • Well-presented with excellent communication skills, and a proactive problem solver.
  • Trade certification in Electrical or Fire Protection Technology is required.
