This is a challenging role involving work as a Heavy Duty Engine Specialist. The primary responsibility involves ensuring heavy-duty vehicles and equipment operate at peak performance.
Key Responsibilities:- Determine and rectify issues with diesel engines, transmissions, brakes, electrical systems, and hydraulic systems on heavy-duty vehicles and equipment.
- Carry out routine inspections and maintenance procedures to identify potential problems and prevent breakdowns.
- Undertake engine tune-ups, rebuilds, and overhauls when necessary to restore performance and extend the lifespan of equipment.
- Utilize diagnostic tools and equipment to quickly and accurately diagnose mechanical and electrical problems.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Desirable: completion of a formal apprenticeship program or technical training in heavy duty engine mechanics.
- Proven experience as a heavy duty engine specialist with a thorough understanding of diesel engine operation, maintenance, and repair techniques.
- A competitive annual salary range between AU$77,000-AU$80,000.
