Expert Designers Required for Mechanical Engineering Roles

Job Description

This is a mid-senior level, full-time mechanical design position based in a decentralised setting.

The role requires the ability to work efficiently and independently from a home environment, with occasional site visits.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Developing mechanical systems, components, and assemblies.
  • Creating detailed engineering drawings suitable for fabrication and installation.
  • Performing Finite Element Analysis (FEA) to validate designs and ensure structural integrity.
  • Preparing and compiling engineering documentation for certification and compliance with relevant standards.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams including engineers, project managers, and drafters.

Key responsibilities include designing and developing complex mechanical systems, creating 3D models and detailed engineering drawings, performing Finite Element Analysis, and preparing engineering documentation.

Our team of expert designers works on a wide range of projects, including transport frames, lifting equipment, custom trailers, conveyor systems, plant equipment, industrial machinery, piping systems, pump stations, dust extraction units, walkways, stairways, mezzanines, and structural steel platforms.

Typical projects in these sectors offer engineers the opportunity to work on technically diverse and hands-on design challenges.

Qualifications and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Mechatronic Engineering (or equivalent).
  • 10+ years of relevant industry experience in mechanical or mechatronic design roles.
  • Proficient in Autodesk Inventor and/or SolidWorks.
  • Proven drafting experience creating manufacturing-ready models and drawings.
  • Strong understanding of materials, manufacturing methods, and mechanical systems.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
