As a Lecturer in GIS&T, you will play a pivotal role in developing curriculum and pedagogical practices informed by your professional experience. You will help bridge the gap between academia and industry, creating strong connections that enhance the student learning experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and delivery of GIS&T units: Develop and teach specialized GIS&T units within our Master's program, equipping students with industry-relevant skills.
  • Collaboration and coordination: Work closely with academic colleagues to co-teach units and lead the coordination of the GIS&T degree.
  • Curriculum development: Design and develop industry-oriented curriculum and teaching materials that prepare students for professional roles in Earth, Atmosphere, and Environment fields.
  • Industry partnerships: Establish and maintain partnerships with industry, government, and professional bodies to drive faculty initiatives and increase student engagement in practical work experiences.
  • Student support: Provide guidance and foster connections with industry to enhance student professional development.
  • Contributions to university goals: Contribute to the University's goal of increasing participation in professional, industry-oriented learning activities.

You will bring substantial professional experience in Geographical Information Science and Technology (including satellite remote sensing), coupled with a strong passion for education and a commitment to helping students succeed. Your ability to connect academic theory with industry practice will be key to delivering a rich and relevant learning experience.
