Job Summary:

The Recreation Coordinator is responsible for planning, delivering and evaluating recreation programs and activities within a correctional facility. This role requires coordinating and supervising a range of recreational activities and programs for inmates, in addition to maintaining equipment and supplies as needed.

  • Key Responsibilities:
    • Develop and implement recreation and leisure programs that cater to the diverse needs and interests of inmates.
    • Maintain accurate records of program participation, attendance and outcomes.
    • Collaborate with other teams to ensure seamless delivery of programs and services.
  • Requirements:
    • A strong understanding of working with vulnerable or disengaged populations.
    • The ability to plan, design, implement and evaluate recreation and leisure programs.
