About the Role

The Team Leader, Birthing in Our Community (BiOC), will play a critical role in supporting the Manager in the effective implementation of the Jajumbora BiOC Model of Care.

This hands-on role involves direct engagement with staff and clients, ensuring comprehensive and culturally informed maternal and child health services are provided.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish and maintain regular reporting activities related to client record systems.
  • Conduct regular audits of Family Support Workers' (FSWs) caseloads.
  • Facilitate high-risk case conferences with FSWs.
  • Lead incident debriefing processes.
  • Provide monthly supervision sessions with FSWs.
  • Support the team in working confidently within the BiOC Model of Care.
  • Offer ongoing education and support to ensure compliance with organizational policies and procedures.
  • Develop individual Professional Learning Plans for team members, including clear goals and actions.
  • Lead targeted coaching to enhance team performance.
  • Enhance communication within the team to promote ATSICHS vision and core values.
  • Foster a positive team culture through targeted reinforcement and praise.
  • Ensure all scheduled tasks are completed within specified action day.
  • Support and manage a continuous improvement model to enhance service delivery and staff practices.

Requirements

  • Degree qualification in Social Work / Human Services / Psychology / Sociology / Criminology / Counselling or relevant field and/or five (5) years' experience in a relevant human service field.
  • Ability to work in a performance-driven environment and meet month-to-month program targets/performance outcomes.
  • Demonstrated experience in overseeing and coordinating case management processes and procedures.
  • Ability to lead, guide, and manage people, including the implementation of cultural change and change management opportunities.
  • Ability to support and manage a continuous improvement model to further improve the service model and practice application of front-line staff.
  • National Police Certificate.
  • Working with Children's Card (Blue Card) or be eligible to apply.
  • Driver's License.
