The Role:

We are seeking an experienced Lead Kitchen Manager to join our team in the Aged Care sector. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of our kitchens on a day-to-day basis.

Duties:

  • Meal Preparation: Prepare and cook meals according to set menus, ensuring high quality and excellent presentation.
  • Supervision: Provide supervision and direction to kitchen staff, ensuring they are equipped to meet the demands of the role.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with Site Managers and Facility staff to ensure seamless operation.
  • Safety and Hygiene: Maintain safe food handling and hygiene practices, adhering to industry standards.
  • Documentation: Complete food safety documentation and maintain feedback monitoring processes.
  • Budget Management: Adhere to budgets, stocktake, and regular ordering procedures.
  • Kitchen Staff Scheduling: Assist with kitchen staff schedules and filling shifts as needed.

Requirements:

  • Certificate III in Commercial Cookery: Hold a Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent.
  • Aged Care Experience: Previous experience in the Aged Care sector is highly desirable.
  • Western Cooking: Possess experience with Western cooking methods and techniques.
  • Computer Skills: Basic computer skills, including Outlook and ordering processes.

What We Offer:

  • Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per annum (dependent on experience).
