Canteen Assistant

**About Us**:
Fitfoodie is a small business born in the Echuca/Moama region in 2020. Four years later we are managing six different schools in the area and feeding thousands of kids on the daily. We are very excited to expand over Victoria and need some superstar staff that share our passion for feeding kids a range of food thoughtfully designed by dieticians - no added nasties

We take pride in our fresh and highest quality product offering but we have fun doing it.

**About the role**:
The role is based in the canteen - so get ready to chat to all of the kids and get to know them (and all of the funny stories that come with it) We need someone with a kind nature and a passion for working with children in a collaborative environment.

You will assist in food preparation, following easy to understand procedures and recipes in a timely manner to ensure the kids get their lunches on time. Our Management Team is hands-on, always approachable and the team is close-knit with a family feel so we are excited to continue growing our food-loving family.

The start time for these days is 8:00am and finish time 3:00pm (8hr) so there is still time to pick up the kids from school or have your afternoons to yourself. This role would be perfectly suited to a Mum or Dad looking for some extra work in decent hours, someone starting their hospitality journey and eager to sharpen their skills in a kitchen where no two days are the same, or ex-cafe/restaurant workers wanting a change of scenery. **About you**:
You have an energetic personality and thrive off providing great top-notch service. You have a punctual and reliable history and are physically able to be on your feet for what the day has to throw at you. Demonstrate understanding of basic food handling procedures and hygiene/sanitary expectations of a working commercial kitchen.

- Have you had a Working With Children's Check in VIC before and do you agree to undertake one?
- Do you have a Current Full Driver's or P1/2 Probationary License?

**Job Type**: Casual

Pay: $32.06 per hour

Expected hours: 12 - 24 per week

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- No weekends
