Job Description

A key role within our Distribution Network Strategy & Planning team, leading strategic planning processes to assess network capabilities and develop solutions to maintain bushfire safety compliance.

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to lead comprehensive strategic planning processes to assess network capabilities (long & short-term), emerging issues, and identify areas of the network where limitations exist or will emerge in the future. The successful candidate will develop network solution and contingency plans, drive augmentation of the network to maintain bushfire safety compliance with REFCL technology, and contribute to demand and energy forecasts.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Relevant qualification and experience in Engineering
  • Extensive experience in contemporary electricity network planning, asset management practices and overarching markets
  • Expert proficiency in using electricity network analysis tools or relevant software (such as Sincal, PSS/E, PowerFactory and/or PSCAD) and interpreting results
  • Proven experience for management of multiple projects simultaneously from conception to implementation and realisation of program objectives
  • Detailed knowledge of National Electricity Rules, the energy markets and relevant laws, regulations, rules, licences and agreements
