About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Staff Specialist to join our team in the Department of Psychological Medicine. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality clinical services to children and adolescents, as well as contributing to research and teaching initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care to children and adolescents, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning
  • Supervise junior medical staff and provide guidance on child and adolescent mental health care
  • Contribute to research and teaching initiatives, including developing and implementing new programs and services
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to children and adolescents
  • Participate in quality improvement activities and contribute to the development of policies and procedures
Requirements
  • Eligibility for registration with the Medical Board of Australia as a Specialist Psychiatrist
  • Demonstrated recent clinical experience in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry
  • Fellowship of the RANZCP and/or other specialist recognition
  • Membership of the Faculty of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, RANZCP, or equivalent
  • Effective clinical communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Commitment to teaching, continuing education, research, and quality improvement
