Career Opportunities:

This exciting opportunity is available for an experienced culinary professional to join our team at Ivanhoe on a fixed-term basis until 12/12/2025. Reporting to the Program Manager, you will focus on delivering high-quality meals and exceptional service to social connections program clients, enhancing their daily lives.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing and cooking a variety of home-style cuisines with a focus on healthy aging within a social group setting.
  • Planning, ordering, and preparing meals to meet specialized diets, including supplements and texture-modified foods.
  • Maintaining high compliance with food safety guidelines and HACCP procedures.

This is a part-time, fixed-term role, requiring a flexible schedule from Tuesday to Friday, 10:00 am - 2:00 pm.

About You:

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • A Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience working in commercial kitchens, preferably in aged-care settings.
  • Knowledge of specialized diets, including supplements and texture-modified foods.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team and interact one-on-one.

Essential requirements for working in Aged Care include:

  • A current Working With Children Check card.
  • Current and ongoing flu vaccinations.
  • Australian working rights.
  • Ability to pass a national police clearance and NDIS Clearance.
