Plumbing Inspector - Level 4 Role

About the Job

This is a unique opportunity for experienced Plumbing Inspectors to join our team in Southeast Queensland, supporting local government operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with plumbing and drainage regulations by conducting thorough inspections and providing expert advice to stakeholders.

The role involves conducting regular site visits to assess and approve plumbing applications and plans, identifying non-compliance and advising on corrective actions, as well as preparing detailed inspection reports and maintaining accurate records.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conducting comprehensive inspections of plumbing and drainage systems to ensure compliance with relevant legislation and standards.
  • Assessing and approving plumbing applications and plans, ensuring they meet regulatory requirements.
  • Identifying and reporting non-compliance, and advising on corrective actions to ensure safe and compliant practices.
  • Providing technical guidance and support to builders, contractors, and property owners on plumbing and drainage matters.
  • Preparing and maintaining accurate records of inspection findings and recommending improvements where necessary.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess:

  • A current QBCC Plumbing and Drainage Inspector Licence (Level 4).
  • Extensive experience in plumbing and drainage systems, with a strong knowledge of relevant legislation and standards.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address complex issues.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
