We're seeking an expert in strategic technology planning to join our organisation.

About the Role:
  • Investigate business requirements and system features to identify optimal solution approaches, weighing pros and cons of various options.
  • Create high-level solution architecture documents outlining proposed solutions for initiatives.
  • Research and document solution patterns, frameworks, and technologies relevant to project needs.
  • Liaise with external IT vendors during the architecture and design phase to ensure seamless integration.
  • Serve as a technical escalation point for development teams encountering issues.

This role requires a seasoned professional with at least 5 years' experience as a Solution Architect in a medium to large organisation, adept at collaborating with cross-functional teams. Technical expertise in delivering cloud solutions (preferably Azure) and integrating SaaS solutions within retail environments is also essential.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Strategic Planning: Develop comprehensive plans to address complex business problems by analysing requirements and available technology.
  2. Solution Design: Create detailed architecture designs that meet business needs while ensuring scalability, maintainability, and security.
  3. Collaboration and Communication: Effectively interact with stakeholders, including developers, product owners, and external vendors, to facilitate smooth project execution.
  4. Technical Leadership: Provide guidance on best practices, technical standards, and emerging trends to support the organisation's digital transformation.
