Orygen is seeking a highly skilled Business Partner and Reporting Lead to join our People and Culture team. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in ensuring that the people needs of the business are met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Maintain Partnerships: Work proactively with the leadership team and employees in designated client groups to identify implications of strategic and business plans.
  • Provide Strategic HR Advice: Offer professional, strategic, and operational HR advice on the interpretation of HR policies and procedures, employment legislation, EAs, Modern Awards, and people and culture policies and procedures.
  • Lead and Deliver Initiatives: Lead and deliver People and Culture initiatives (e.g., performance management) and broader projects, including scoping, planning, and execution, in alignment with senior leadership.
  • Develop and Manage Metrics and Reporting: Develop and manage people partnering metrics and reporting, providing strategic insights and recommendations to support business strategies, while serving as the escalation point for HR systems and employee record issues.
Requirements
  • Relevant Qualification: A relevant tertiary qualification in human resources management.
  • Extensive Experience: Extensive experience in a similar people partnering role in a complex organisation.
  • IR/ER/HR Knowledge: Extensive IR/ER/HR knowledge of relevant state and federal industrial relations, the Modern Award framework, and other employment-related legislation and experience in managing dispute resolution with union delegates.
  • Reporting and Data Analysis: Experience in reporting, compiling, and analysing data and ability to interpret data and provide commercial insights and recommendations for continual development.
  • Influencing and Negotiating Skills: High-level influencing and negotiating skills to steer decisions and actions to achieve a desired outcome and sound judgement and capability to balance risk and commercial outcomes.
  • Client Service Approach: A proactive client service approach and demonstrated ability to maintain excellent client relations in a supportive, empathetic, and non-judgmental manner.

  • Competitive Salary: $125,000 base + 11.5% super + access to $15,900 NFP and meals/entertainment salary packaging.
  • Hybrid Working: Hybrid working, 2-3 days onsite at our Parkville office.
