The Payroll Specialist will play a vital role in processing weekly payroll, end-of-month and year-end processes.
- Key responsibilities include:
- Assisting with payroll queries in a timely manner.
- Maintaining the payroll system with employee information updates.
- Preparing forecasts, budgets, and financial reports to ensure business continuity.
- Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and awards to minimize risk.
- Determining earnings and deductions based on shift differentials, overtime, and other factors for accurate payroll calculations.
- Processing increases and calculating back pay to maintain positive employee relations.
- Calculating leave provisions and accruals for efficient resource allocation.
- Calculating and processing termination payments in accordance with company policies.
- Maintaining records for leave, illness, overtime, etc. for future reference.
