Job Title: Senior Operations Manager

Job Description

As a senior production leader, you will oversee the execution of production activities and ensure safety compliance across various departments. Your responsibilities will include managing shift operations, supervising large teams, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

You will have proven experience leading high-performing teams with a focus on safety and collaboration. Additionally, you will possess hands-on experience in a production environment, strong leadership skills, and ability to influence people effectively.

The ideal candidate will be able to work with diverse stakeholders, build capability through coaching and mentoring, and demonstrate experience in process improvements and Lean manufacturing systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage 3 shift operations on production side
  • Supervise a large team with direct reports and indirect shift reports
  • Drive toolbox and information sessions for all shifts
  • Oversee and coordinate department production activities with other functions to minimize unscheduled downtime
  • Investigate safety and production related events to identify root causes and implement measures to reduce future impact
Requirements:
  • Proven experience leading a large team with a focus on safety
  • Collaboration and leadership skills
  • Hands-on experience in a production environment
  • Trade or Post Graduate qualifications in Engineering, Sciences, or Business (preferable)
  • Certificate IV - Leadership and Management (Frontline Leadership) or equivalent (ideal)
