Job Title: Senior GIS Developer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior GIS Developer to join our team in the Geospatial Services Section. As a Senior GIS Developer, you will play a key role in maintaining and enhancing our geospatial systems and databases, ensuring the accuracy and reliability of our data assets.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain geospatial systems and databases, ensuring data accuracy and reliability.
  • Monitor, maintain, and enhance automation processes for data capture, transformation, and reporting.
  • Support the team in creating geospatial products and tools within the software development life cycle process.
  • Provide technical expertise and ensure compliance with departmental standards.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in IT development, with a strong background in geospatial technologies.
  • Experience in developing processes working with geospatial data and leveraging related software applications, particularly ArcGIS Pro, Portal for ArcGIS, and FME.
  • Ability to contribute to a positive team environment, work cooperatively with team members, and develop productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated proficiency working in one or more of the following environments: Python, ArcGIS Portal, or SQL.
  • Obtain and maintain Negative Vetting 1 security clearance.

  • ESRI's ArcGIS Desktop, Enterprise, and Cloud (ArcGIS Online)
  • Microsoft technologies for Client, Server, and Cloud
  • SQL Server databases
