Job Opportunity:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior GIS Developer to join our Geospatial Services Section. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining our existing geospatial systems and databases.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain geospatial systems and databases
  • Monitor, maintain, and enhance automation processes for data capture, data transformation, and reporting systems
  • Support the team with the creation of geospatial products and tools within the software development life cycle process
  • Provide technical expertise and comply with departmental standards

Requirements:

  • Strong IT Developer skills with a minimum of 3 years of experience
  • Experience in geospatial technologies, particularly ArcGIS Pro, Portal for ArcGIS, and FME
  • Ability to contribute to a positive team environment and work collaboratively with team members
  • Ability to effectively communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Python, ArcGIS Portal, or SQL
  • Obtain and maintain Negative Vetting 1 security clearance

Preferred Software Platforms:

  • ESRI's ArcGIS Desktop, Enterprise, and Cloud
  • Microsoft technologies for Client, Server, and Cloud
  • SQL Server databases

Desirable Software Platforms:

  • FME Form and Flow, QGIS, Survey123
  • Azure DevOps and Git
  • Azure services
  • ASP.NET, C#, JavaScript
