We are seeking a passionate Occupational Therapist to lead the delivery of flexible and timely occupational therapy services that support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander consumers in our Aged and Disability team.

About this opportunity We deliver comprehensive, holistic and culturally responsive primary health care, social and emotional wellbeing services, and NDIS support to over 6500 Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in the region.

About the role In this fulfilling position, you will work directly with clients to improve their daily living, mobility, and overall wellbeing—all while honouring cultural values. From conducting assessments and delivering interventions, to collaborating within a multidisciplinary team and coordinating referrals, no two days are the same.

To be successful in this role, you must possess a recognised tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy, and current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as an Occupational Therapist.

  • Strong understanding of the Aboriginal Medical Service Model of Care.
  • Previous experience working within an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Community Controlled Health Service.
  • Demonstrated skills in working within a community setting, in particular the ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Experience working in the disability or aged care sector.
