Cloud Solutions Engineer

At Commvault, our mission is to empower customers to uncover and rapidly recover from cyberattacks.

We are seeking a Cloud Solutions Engineer to join our NSW team, driving pre-sales engagement and technical excellence. As an expert on cloud platforms and modern technologies, you will understand the presales methodology and how decisions impact customer outcomes while driving revenue for our business.

To succeed in this role, you must be a self-motivated, confident professional who thrives in collaborative environments. You'll be a trusted advisor across all levels both internally and within our partner and customer communities.

You will be responsible for:

  • Developing and executing territory plans and account strategies with the sales team.
  • Evangelising cloud solutions to expand opportunities and engage key stakeholders.
  • Identifying and driving new and incremental sales opportunities in collaboration with Account Management.
  • Providing technical guidance throughout the discovery, evaluation, and proposal stages.
  • Participating in proof of value (PoV) creation and cloud architecture discussions.
  • Building relationships with technical decision-makers and executing detailed Technical Account Plans.
  • Presenting our messaging and vision to C-suite executives.
  • Delivering compelling product demonstrations, whiteboard discussions, and customer success stories.

For this opportunity, you should have:

  • A strong understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and modern technologies (containers, Kubernetes/OpenShift).
  • Experience working with Enterprise & Public Sector Clients and competitive knowledge in the market.
  • Expertise in data management solutions (backup & recovery, security resilience, migration, compliance, cloud workloads).
  • Solid grasp of software licensing, cloud sizing, and enterprise applications (SAP, Oracle, Exchange, SharePoint, Active Directory).
  • Deep knowledge of infrastructure technologies (storage, servers, networking, cloud, hyper-convergence).
