Six Degrees Executive is proud to partner with a reputable pharmaceutical business based in the CBD to find an exceptional Financial Reporting Assistant.

About the role

This is a 12-month full-time contract role with the opportunity to be extended up to 14 months. The successful candidate will work 3 days in the office and 2 days from home. Key responsibilities include:

  • Preparing manual journal entries and assisting with basic account reconciliations while addressing queries from Finance Business Partners.
  • Supporting the accountant with various ad-hoc tasks as needed.
  • Handling the preparation of manual invoices accurately and efficiently.
  • Performing accounting activities under supervision, following organizational policies and reporting standards.
  • Reconciling accounts, posting journal entries, and ensuring the general ledger remains accurate.
  • Compiling financial data to assist senior accountants in generating reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and regulatory filings.

About you

  • Minimum 2 years of previous experience in a similar role, financial reporting accounting experience preferred.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • SAP knowledge/experience essential.
  • A high level of attention to detail with proven quality and accuracy of work.
  • Proactive research, analysis, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and prioritize tasks in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
  • A true team player.
