Job Title: Senior Data Engineer

**Role Overview:** We're seeking an experienced data engineer to lead technical delivery of large-scale data platforms and business intelligence solutions. As a senior consultant, you'll design, implement, and own the delivery of robust data platforms and end-to-end components.

You will work closely with project managers, client stakeholders, and teams, providing excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Key responsibilities include:

  • Collaborating with clients to gather and clarify requirements and business rules through workshops with stakeholders
  • Contributing to technical architecture, design, and delivery for new data platforms
  • Providing thought leadership on data profiling and integration recommendations to clients
  • Data modeling (relational and dimensional)
  • Managing development life cycles using source code management tools
  • Performing performance tuning and optimization on new and existing data warehouse solutions
  • Documenting, training, and knowledge-transferring to customers and internal teams
Requirements and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Excellent consultation and stakeholder management skills
  • Advanced skills in Azure, Fabric, and Snowflake pipelines, as well as experience in tools like Azure Data Factory, Coalesce, Matillion, dbt, and Fivetran
  • Advanced ETL/ELT process design and implementation
  • Strong skills in SQL performance tuning, query plan analysis, indexing, table partitioning
  • Cloud platforms experience, including Azure and AWS
  • Strong skills in data platform implementation, configuration, performance, and cost management tuning
  • Power BI and semantic data modeling expertise

Additionally, you will require:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Certification in Snowpro, Coalesce, Microsoft Azure/Fabric data engineer, or equivalent
  • Minimum 7+ years' experience in EDW design and implementation
  • Minimum 7+ years' experience in ETL architecting and design
  • Minimum 7+ years' experience in data modeling (Star schema & Snowflake schema)
  • Minimum 5+ years' experience in semantic layer development
  • Minimum 5+ years' experience in reporting and visualization tools
  • Minimum 5+ years' experience in Power BI
