Solution Architect - Data Platforms

We are seeking an experienced Solution Architect to join our dynamic data-driven organisation and help deliver critical capabilities using Databricks and modern cloud technologies.

This is your opportunity to work on complex, enterprise-scale solutions that drive business outcomes across multiple portfolios.

  • Define solution architectures across current, transitional, and future states
  • Lead the design and integration of Databricks solutions for Core Data Platforms
  • Champion reuse, scalability, security and compliance in every design
  • Provide technical leadership to project teams and ensure architecture alignment
  • Mentor architects and analysts while collaborating with vendors and partners
  • Contribute to architectural standards and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Influence IT strategy and technology roadmaps through expert insight

You will collaborate with technical and business stakeholders, designing end-to-end architectural solutions aligned with strategic goals, while staying ahead of emerging technologies and best practices.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will have:

  • Proven experience in solution architecture, ideally within financial services
  • Minimum 5 years in IT, with 3+ years in architecture or design roles
  • Strong knowledge of Databricks, cloud platforms, data architecture, and APIs
  • Experience architecting using cloud-based data platforms
  • Background in software design, agile methodologies, and enterprise architecture frameworks
  • TOGAF certification or equivalent (preferred)
  • Excellent communication and consulting skills with stakeholders at all levels
  • Ability to work across multiple squads, balancing business outcomes and technical depth
