About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to join our team at UniLodge. As a key member of our property operations team, you will be responsible for managing the maintenance of our properties, ensuring that all facilities are well-maintained and that our residents have a safe and comfortable living environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the maintenance of properties, including apartments, common areas, and building exteriors
- Oversee all building facilities activities, including preventative and reactive works
- Work with internal management, external partners, and contractors to maintain high asset quality and presentation
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and promote a culture of safety for all employees
- Provide exceptional customer service by building strong relationships with key stakeholders and responding to maintenance requests promptly
- Monitor and maintain the building management system (BMS) and energy management system (EMS)
- Develop and maintain a preventative maintenance plan to ensure compliance items are met
- Assist in the formulation of budgets and regularly monitor P&L performance against targets
- Offer emergency out-of-hours support and guidance to on-site teams
- Work both on the tools and administratively
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience in general property and grounds maintenance and repairs
- Prior experience in a supervisory role within a maintenance department
- Understanding of OH&S principles and chemical handling
- Effective verbal and written communication skills with staff, owners, tenants, and contractors
- National Police Check (completed within last 3 months), at your own cost
- Unrestricted work rights in Australia
- Trade qualification as a Mechanical Engineer, Electrician or Plumber (highly desirable)
