We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Chief Engineer/Maintenance Manager to join our Engineering Team at Stamford Plaza Sydney Airport.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure the upkeep and maintenance of the hotel in accordance with current legislation and requests from Operations Team.
  • Assist the Chief Engineer in managing the department and overseeing the maintenance of hotel systems, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and other facilities.
  • Attend to ad-hoc requests from Housekeeping and Front Office Department and also Hotel Guests directly.
  • Manage contractors and report all hazards in guest and employee areas.
  • Assist in planning, organizing, and controlling all matters related to engineering-related matters.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in maintenance management, preferably with electrical qualifications and background.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively manage a team and collaborate cross-functionally.
  • Knowledge of maintenance principles, techniques, and tools, including predictive and preventive maintenance strategies.
  • Familiarity with relevant regulations and standards for equipment safety and maintenance.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in computerized maintenance management systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
