Job Opportunity: Underground Coal Trainer & Assessor

We are seeking a skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Trainer & Assessor in underground coal.

The successful candidate will have extensive experience working in underground coal and hold a valid QLD certification in Training & Assessment.

  • Coordinate and execute training and assessment according to site-specific training plans.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential training records.
  • Undertake field observations for performance of personnel operating procedures.
  • Promote a safe work environment and adhere to safety standards.
  • Support new employees on their path to becoming experienced underground miners.
  • Provide inductions as required for operational needs.
  • Assist with apprenticeships and traineeships at site.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Current Cert IV Training & Assessment or equivalent qualifications.
  • Experience in an underground setting, ideally as a miner driver operator or supervisor.
  • Ability to engage and develop relationships across all levels of the organisation and with client stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong understanding of Coal Mining legislation and industry standards.
  • QLD Coal Board Medical & S11 or willing to obtain.
