About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Boarding Supervisor at The Cathedral College, Rockhampton. As a key member of our boarding team, you will play a vital role in providing a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment for our boarders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide holistic care to our boarders, encompassing their physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being
  • Supervise boarders in their daily routines, ensuring their safety and well-being
  • Offer academic support during study sessions, helping boarders to achieve their academic goals
  • Accompany boarders to activities and events, promoting their social and emotional development
  • Transport boarders to sporting events and outings, using school vehicles
About You

We are looking for an individual who is passionate about working with young people and has a commitment to the values of Catholic education. You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with a diverse range of people.

Key qualifications and skills include:

  • Understanding of and commitment to the ethos of Catholic education
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills
  • High proficiency in computer skills
  • Ability to work rostered weekend and night shifts (desirable)
  • Valid driver's license (QLD) and MR Class drivers license (desirable)

Mandatory Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must:

  • Hold a current valid Blue Card under the Working with Children (Risk Management and Screening) Act 2000 (WWC Act) and valid Suitability Notice
  • Be able to perform the physical requirements of the role in a safe manner
