\Job Title\

Application and Portfolio Technologist

\\Description\

This role is centered around supporting flavour application R&D and portfolio teams, as well as customers, in utilizing standard libraries of flavours and natural solutions.

\

The ideal candidate will be responsible for the development of finished product formulations and applications incorporating Symrise technologies in various food matrices including dairy, beverages, confectionery, bakery, and plant-based products.

\

A key aspect of this role is providing total solutions to customers through creative problem-solving skills and technical knowledge of development.

\

The individual in this position will also be responsible for direct evaluation of new Symrise technologies, finished products, customer bases, and market samples, and modification of existing products and process to develop new finished product formulations.

\

Additionally, the successful candidate will evaluate, assess, and develop counter types or matches of food products.

\

Collaboration with cross-functional teams to select functional raw materials and other ingredients as required is essential for success in this role.

\

Continual and consistent research and upgrade of technical expertise to stay updated on consumer and market trends is crucial.

\

Assisting to coordinate launches and scale up of new products including trials will also be a key responsibility.

\

Strong leadership and active participation to spearhead projects independently and impart knowledge to peers and colleagues to drive commercial success is expected.

\

Work closely with cross-functional departments to ensure timely, high-quality deliverables and seamless project execution.

\

Conduct presentations for technical visits and act as key direct technical contact to build stronger partnerships with key customers.

\

Establish regional and global network to leverage and exchange knowledge to contribute to continuous learning and development.

\\Requirements\
  • Bachelor's degree qualification in Food Technology or equivalent.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in industrial food, ingredients, or flavor industry with a focus on sweet, bakery, confectionery, dairy, and/or beverage-related disciplines.
  • Additional expertise in alcoholic beverages would be preferred.
  • Expertise in dairy and confectionery would be an added advantage.
  • Strong expertise in sensory evaluation, technical knowledge, and application recipe design and creation.
  • Possess good knowledge of recipe ingredients, raw materials, and their function for flavor application.
  • Possess good knowledge of Food Standards Code (FSANZ).
  • Strong passion in food ingredients/flavor portfolios.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suites.
  • A strong team player, independent, driven, and is highly agile, accountable, creative, and innovative.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
