Practice Manager Role Overview

This is a dynamic, multifaceted position where you will wear many hats—manager, problem-solver, mentor, and change agent.

As the Practice Manager, you will lead a busy, well-established medical practice based in the Bulimba/Balmoral precinct.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operational Management: Ensuring seamless daily flow of the practice with a strong focus on efficiency and patient experience;
  • Team Leadership: Ranging from recruitment, training, development, and enabling admin, clinical, medical, and support staff to perform at their best;
  • Reporting & Bookkeeping: Revenue & activity reporting and assisting with budgeting, billing, and accounts receivable as required;
  • Compliance & Risk: Upholding best-practice standards in patient privacy, safety, and regulatory compliance;
  • Patient Engagement: Elevating the patient journey and experience through responsive, compassionate service delivery;
  • Strategic Development: Partnering with directors to develop growth strategies and identify areas for innovation and improvement;
  • Marketing: Driving patient growth through creative marketing and GP/Other referral relationships.

The ideal candidate will have high-level understanding of EHRs, practice management systems, privacy legislation, and compliance frameworks.

You will work closely with directors, consulting specialists, clinical, and administrative teams to ensure the practice runs smoothly and is fully compliant.
