Senior Data Engineering Leader

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineering Leader to drive the design and execution of our combined business and technology roadmap for financial modelling. This role will play a key leadership role in driving adoption of our technology strategy through DevSecOps, world-class data platforms, AI, modernization to the data marketplace, and improving delivery capability.

  • Develop a technology roadmap to support the Financial Modelling team, aligning with the Group's Technology Strategy.
  • Work with product owners, SMEs, architecture, and engineering to design and implement technology solutions that deliver on business outcomes.
  • Lead a team of technology professionals within the crew as part of the CBA Pace model, including team members in CBA India.
  • Operate business applications to required levels of availability and reliability within a DevSecOps delivery model.
  • Partner with solution and delivery vendors to deliver positive and innovative outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop a technology roadmap to support the Financial Modelling team, aligning with the Group's Technology Strategy.
  2. Work with product owners, SMEs, architecture, and engineering to design and implement technology solutions that deliver on business outcomes.
  3. Lead a team of technology professionals within the crew as part of the CBA Pace model, including team members in CBA India.
  4. Operate business applications to required levels of availability and reliability within a DevSecOps delivery model.
  5. Partner with solution and delivery vendors to deliver positive and innovative outcomes.

Requirements:

  • Possess significant experience in data, engineering, and delivery on modern cloud-based data architectures and platforms.
  • Have a strong understanding of Advanced Analytics, ideally with a background or experience in financial credit models.
  • Have experience in AI technologies and their application to both the practice of data engineering and the user experience.
  • Be able to demonstrate a track record in helping solve business problems and opportunities with technology.
  • Be well-versed in DevSecOps and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) methods.
  • Come from a development background and have experience in Python, Java, or similar languages.
  • Display a growth mindset and the ability to work in a very fast-paced and Agile environment.
