Job Overview

The Senior Financial Accountant plays a pivotal role in ensuring the financial health and compliance of our national branded business. This senior position involves overseeing the preparation of timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports aligned with AASB/IFRS.

This includes managing month-end and year-end close processes, guaranteeing adherence to BAS, GST, FBT, payroll tax, and other statutory obligations.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Financial Accountant to lead our finance team, deliver financial analysis, and provide actionable insights to inform business decisions.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare accurate and timely financial reports
  • Manage and maintain general ledger, accounts payable and receivable functions
  • Lead payroll processing and ensure alignment with relevant legislation and internal controls
  • Deliver financial analysis and insights to support business and board-level decisions
Requirements

To excel in this role, you will require:

  • A degree in Accounting or Finance
  • CPA/CA qualification (or working towards)
  • 5+ years' experience in financial or management accounting
  • Strong knowledge of AASB and/or IFRS
  • Experience with NetSuite & Excel
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills
