Job Title:

Senior Financial Accountant Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Accountant to join our organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring the financial transactions of a national branded business, working closely with a Financial Controller.

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports aligned with AASB/IFRS standards.
  • Manage month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations.
  • Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis across departments.
  • Ensure compliance with BAS, GST, FBT, payroll tax, and other statutory obligations.
  • Lead payroll processing and ensure alignment with relevant legislation and internal controls.
  • Oversee general ledger, accounts payable and receivable functions.
  • Deliver financial analysis and insights to support business and board-level decisions.
  • Maintain and enhance internal controls, process documentation, and system improvements.
  • Hold a degree qualification in Accounting or Finance, and be CPA/CA qualified (or working towards).
  • Have 5+ years' experience in financial or management accounting.
  • Possess strong knowledge of AASB and/or IFRS.
  • Experience with NetSuite & Excel is highly desirable.
  • Excellent attention to detail, with strong analytical and communication skills.
  • A proactive and collaborative team player.

Requirements:

  • Hold a degree qualification in Accounting or Finance.
  • Be CPA/CA qualified (or working towards).
  • Have 5+ years' experience in financial or management accounting.
  • Strong knowledge of AASB and/or IFRS.
  • Experience with NetSuite & Excel is highly desirable.
