About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Psychologist to join our multidisciplinary Community Mental Health Team at the Wyndham Clinic in Hoppers Crossing. As a key member of our team, you will provide gold standard mental health care to adult consumers experiencing mental illness.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide psychology discipline-specific assessments, formulation, and treatment to clients with a range of mental health diagnoses.
  • Facilitate recovery-oriented, psychological therapy-specific groups for clients and work with the team to identify clients requiring therapy and support.
  • Work alongside another Senior Clinical Psychologist and therapy staff as a key senior clinical team member within a thriving and collaborative multidisciplinary team.
  • Offer consultation, collaborative treatment planning, and workforce learning to the team.
  • Contribute to service development and therapy group development.
  • Provide supervision and mentoring to P2 Psychologists, Clinical Psychology Registrars, and/or students, as appropriate to grade and supervisor qualification.
  • Receive clinical supervision from a Grade 4 or 5 senior clinical psychologist.
About You
  • Current AHPRA Full Registration as a Psychologist, with a Master's degree or higher in Clinical Psychology from an accredited program.
  • For Grade 2 Clinical Psychologist role: Area of Practice Endorsement as a Clinical Psychologist, or approaching completion of a registrar program working towards same.
  • For Grade 3 Senior Clinical Psychologist role: a minimum of 5 years work experience post full registration; Area of Practice Endorsement as a Clinical Psychologist; PBA approved Supervisor status or eligible and willing to work towards same.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
  • Ability to think critically and problem solve effectively.
  • Knowledge and experience in different evidence-based therapeutic techniques, preferably including CBT, ACT, DBT.
  • Relevant training and experience in suicide risk assessment and management, drug and alcohol, and/or personality disorders.
  • Knowledge of different referral pathways for clients requiring short- and long-term supports.
  • A good working knowledge of the Victorian Mental Health and Wellbeing Act and relevant legislation.
  • Must be fully vaccinated against Covid or willing to participate in the vaccination program.
