Crisis Assessment Treatment Team Clinician

We are seeking experienced mental health professionals to join our Casual Bank team at Mercy Mental Health to cover planned leave and short notice vacancies within the Crisis Assessment Treatment Team (CATT) and Emergency Mental Health (EMH) teams.
Key Responsibilities- Provide intensive clinical assessment, treatment, and support services to clients in acute psychiatric crisis or at risk of relapse.
- Form part of a multidisciplinary team and provide highly responsive and flexible services to consumers and carers.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse with a specialist undergraduate psychiatric nursing program or a Post Graduate Psychiatric/Mental Health Nursing qualification.
- Or an approved degree in Psychology and registration with AHPRA as a Psychologist.
- Or registration with AHPRA as an Occupational Therapist.
- Or a recognised degree in Social Work and eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers.
- Demonstrated competency in mental state and risk assessment and the ability to prioritize workload.
- Ability to work autonomously and function optimally within a multidisciplinary team.
- Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to document and search appropriate databases.
- Current Police Record Check and Working with Children Check.
- Current COVID-19 certificate, proof of current influenza vaccination, and other vaccination status consistent with public health orders.
