About the Role

We are seeking an experienced IT Operations Leader to lead and oversee service desk and systems administration functions across our organisation.

This role ensures seamless IT service delivery, drives performance across BAU, project, and transformation initiatives, and champions continuous improvement through ITIL-aligned practices.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading and supporting ITS teams by mentoring, training, and fostering a high-performance culture across multiple locations.
  • Overseeing service desk operations and ensuring ITIL processes (incident, change, request, problem management) are effectively implemented and maintained.
  • Driving continuous improvement by identifying and implementing enhancements to service delivery and team efficiency.
  • Managing project and BAU workload prioritisation, resource planning, and contractor engagement to meet business needs and SLAs.
  • Maintaining strong stakeholder communication, providing timely reporting, and supporting strategic planning and project roadmap development.
  • Ensuring IT systems and infrastructure align with cybersecurity frameworks (e.g. NIST/ISO 27001) and upholding robust documentation and business continuity practices.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A proven track record of leadership and management experience in a similar field.
  • Strong technical knowledge of IT systems and infrastructure.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
