Job Title: Business Development Manager

About Us:

Guru Hundal Freightlines is a trusted name in the Australian road transport and logistics industry.

We specialise in interstate freight solutions across major lanes, including the Eastern Seaboard and nationwide linehaul. As we expand our presence and capabilities, we're looking for a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager to join us in Brisbane or Sydney.

Role Overview:

The Business Development Manager will be responsible for driving growth by identifying new business opportunities, developing strong client relationships, and expanding our market footprint. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong understanding of freight and logistics services and a passion for achieving sales targets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the freight, linehaul, and FTL sectors.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring exceptional service and retention.
  • Prepare and present tailored transport solutions to prospective clients.
  • Collaborate with operations teams to deliver on client expectations.
  • Analyse market trends, competitor offerings, and customer needs to inform strategy.
  • Represent us at industry events, expos, and networking opportunities.
  • Maintain a robust sales pipeline and provide regular reporting to the National Sales Manager.
  • Negotiate contracts and pricing in alignment with company policies and profitability goals.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in business development, sales, or account management in the freight, logistics, or transport industry.
  • Strong network within the logistics or transport sector in Australia.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Results-driven mindset with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Valid Australian driver's license and willingness to travel locally/interstate as required.
