We are seeking a senior professional to join our global team as a Trade Development Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to promote Australian trade and investment globally.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work closely with experts across Austrade to identify and assess the market expansion needs of exporters in the food and beverages sector;
  • Provide strategic advice and drive outcomes for clients by creating action plans that outline how we will support their overseas expansion efforts;
  • Establish and maintain global networks and relationships with key government and industry stakeholders;
  • Manage relationships with peak bodies and use partnerships to strengthen the team and maintain and share sector knowledge;
  • Anticipate and respond to client needs and challenges, escalating where required;
  • Maintain detailed client records in our CRM system and other software as relevant;
  • Contribute to the improvement of Austrade's digital services;
  • Monitor client needs and encourage improvements and innovation across all services;
  • Collaborate with Senior Trade Development Managers and other colleagues on and offshore to deliver on our trade strategy;
  • Represent Australia at corporate and government settings;
  • Understand government priorities and policy settings relating to the food and beverages sector, providing relevant insights and advice;
  • Demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills;
  • Demonstrate client engagement, commercial acumen and consultative selling skills;
  • Clearly describe Austrade's service and value proposition to clients and partners.
Requirements
  • Australian Citizenship is a must;
  • Security Clearance is also required, and our successful candidate will need to obtain and maintain a Baseline clearance.
