Business Operations Manager

The ideal candidate will oversee financial, administrative, and operational support functions. This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll ensure financial accuracy, lead administrative teams, and partner with leadership to strengthen systems.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Finance & Accounting:
  • Lead accounting functions, including accounts payable/accounts receivable, payroll, monthly close, and reconciliations.
  • Ensure timely and accurate invoicing, collections, vendor payments, and compliance with tax regulations.
  • Coordinate quarterly and year-end reviews with external tax/accounting partners.
  • Develop forecasting, budgeting, and reporting processes to support strategic decision-making.

  • Human Resources:
  • Oversee recruiting, onboarding, and HR compliance to support operational departments.
  • Manage payroll, benefits administration, and employee relations.
  • Partner with managers to maintain proper staffing levels and organizational efficiency.
  • Manage and mentor a team of administrative staff.
  • Ensure consistent office coverage, scheduling, and cross-training to maintain smooth operations.

  • IT & Systems Support:
  • Serve as primary liaison to IT partners for enterprise resource planning (ERP) and security systems.
  • Enhance systems for tracking, data capture, and process automation across finance, HR, and operations.

  • General Management:
  • Provide proactive communication to managers regarding incomplete or inaccurate information.
  • Support operations and sales teams with administrative and financial needs.
  • Uphold and model company values including technical excellence, service, accountability, and results-driven leadership.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or MBA preferred).
  • 8+ years of progressive accounting and financial management experience, including leadership responsibility.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
  • Experience overseeing HR and administrative functions is strongly preferred.
  • Proven ability to manage, train, and develop teams.
  • Proficiency with ERP/accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
