Information Security Patching Specialist

The Department of Home Affairs is seeking an experienced Information Security Patching Specialist to join their team based in Canberra. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing and maintaining the department's ICT environment, ensuring it remains secure and up-to-date.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Liaising with Cyber Security and Third-Party Vendors for patch implementation and testing
  • Participating in regular scanning and testing of the ICT environment
  • Managing the assurance and integrity of the department's Systems

Requirements:

  • Experience in patching, testing, and maintaining an enterprise-sized ICT environment
  • Ability to manage work hours and schedules to support maintenance activities around core business hours
  • Knowledge of risk management principles and processes in context of security patch management
  • Conceptual and analytical abilities with sound knowledge of change management practices and techniques
