Family Support Specialist

About the Role:

This is a casual opportunity that will be based in Bourke.

The role is responsible for assisting the casework team with some aspects of case management to support families to remain together. Family Preservation (FP) aims to support families at high risk of having their children removed into care for protective concerns or having their children restored into their care.

Key objectives of FP include:

  • Provide a range of supports to promote parenting skills, family functioning and child development;
  • Address the trauma often experienced by children and young people in contact with the child protection system.

We are looking for a strong advocate for children, young people and families who can work collaboratively as part of our team. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, be committed to compliance, and be technology savvy.
