
Family Violence Specialist

About the Role:
This role is pivotal in delivering a practice response for male family perpetrators referred to the region. You will work closely with other program areas to ensure seamless access for families requiring support.
The core purpose of this role is to provide intake screening, triage, and assessment of male family perpetrators. This is a key component of the statewide integrated family violence reforms, designed to ensure timely access to services through earlier intake and assessment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Delivering screening and triage, assessment, crisis responses, service planning, target interventions, allocation, and coordinated referral.
- Detailed analysis of information from the Central Information Point (CIP) to enable stronger risk assessment of male perpetrators of family violence.
- Supporting the delivery of coordinated and integrated responses to children and families in need of support and to perpetrators of all forms of family violence.
About You:
You will require an understanding of the gendered nature of family violence, the impact on women, children, and families, and men's accountability work. Additionally, you must have demonstrated ability to identify, assess, and prioritise risks and needs of clients in a whole-of-family approach.
Competent in self-management and solution-focused, you will contribute to the development of processes and systems to improve quality of service.
