We are seeking an Inventory Specialist to manage stock, inventory, merchandising, and markdown routines across multiple departments with the aim of maximizing availability for our customers. If you're passionate about helping others deliver great results, this could be the perfect fit for you.

Coles Local is a pioneering concept in our fleet - we're dedicated to providing something new to shopping and inspiring our customers with fresh produce and quality Australian products. With several Coles Local stores across the country, our goal is to create an amazing destination for Aussie grown fresh produce and high-quality Australian products.

You will report directly to the Operations Manager, responsible for supporting and completing availability routines, markdown routines, and invoicing for both direct and third-party suppliers. As an Inventory Specialist, you'll play a key role in coaching, developing, and inspiring team members to ensure they use best practices for stock and inventory management.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A solid understanding of Coles' inventory or markdown processes, with training available for those who want to learn
  • Direct/indirect leadership experience, as you'll be required to coach and develop others on best practices
  • The ability to maintain excellent standards, ensuring accuracy of inventory and receipting routines
  • The flexibility to adapt your roster to meet coaching needs in-store
  • The ability to plan and execute an inventory process to improve availability for customers
  • The ability to work with multiple stakeholders across Coles Local stores to enhance markdown, merchandising, and availability processes
