Our team is seeking a seasoned Laboratory Supervisor to join our dynamic laboratory operations at the Kwinana refinery.

As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for coordinating daily laboratory activities, supervising a team of laboratory technicians, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality data that supports our lithium production process.

This exciting opportunity is ideal for a technically skilled and people-focused leader who is ready to take on new challenges in their career. You'll work closely with our QA Coordinator and laboratory shift supervisors to drive method development and validation projects forward.

You will promote a strong safety culture, provide training and support to laboratory personnel, and ensure compliance with quality standards, productivity targets, and legislative requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate daily laboratory activities and supervise a team of laboratory technicians.
  • Ensure the delivery of high-quality data that supports our lithium production process.
  • Drive method development and validation projects forward.
  • Promote a strong safety culture and provide training and support to laboratory personnel.
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards, productivity targets, and legislative requirements.
Requirements:
  • 7 years' experience in a commercial or mining laboratory.
  • 3 years' experience in a similar position.
  • Strong practical experience in the operation and maintenance of laboratory instrumentation such as ICP-OES, ICP-MS, XRF, IC, and Automated Titrators.
  • Diploma or higher in Laboratory Techniques (preferably with further qualifications in chemistry or a related degree).
  • Experience with ISO 17025 systems highly valued.
  • Willingness to work shift work.
