Senior IT Consultant Role

This position is a key leadership role within the ICT Operations team, providing advanced technical expertise in planning, architecture, implementation, integration and maintenance of ICT infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members, including IT consultants and less experienced staff within ICT Operations.
  • Oversee the technical management and services undertaken by external contractors and vendors.
  • Develop strong positive professional relationships with clients, stakeholders, external support vendors and specialists.
  • Deliver high-quality IT project management and advisory services to clients, ensuring effective, efficient and timely delivery of Departmental ICT infrastructure and development projects.
  • Conduct research and develop proposals for the efficient and effective use of existing and emerging enterprise systems.
Essential Requirements
  • A minimum of 5 years experience in a similar position or related field.
  • Professional IT knowledge gained through satisfactory completion of a relevant course of study at a tertiary institution and/or appropriate industry certification.
  • Experience with ICT infrastructure, including support and maintenance of complex VMware environments, Microsoft Azure DevOps, Active Directories, ICT networks and cyber security tools.
  • Current ITIL and Project Management certification.
Desirable Requirements
  • Experience with cloud services, including Microsoft Azure Cloud Services.
  • A valid driver's license.
